The Butterfly Hospice has opened a new charity shop in the centre of Boston.
The Mayor and Mayoress of Boston, Coun Paul Kenny and his wife Pam, were on hand to perform the official ceremony and declare the store open. They also found time to pose for a picture behind the till serving a lucky customer.
“We are really excited with our new shop coming into the Market Place,” said Judi Byrne, Butterfly Hospice Trust chief executive. “The funds that we take here will be able to support our work to open the in-patient palliative care unit in the hospice in Rowan Way.”
The trust is currently waiting for the opportunity to tender for palliative care funding from the East Clinical Commissioning Group.
