ANIMAL rights activists will be campaigning outside a touring circus when it performs in Swineshead this week.
Members of the Captive Animals’ Protection Society plan to protest outside Circus Mondao during its run on land off Bicker Bar roundabout from tomorrow until Sunday.
They have said the circus promotes animal cruelty as its zebras, horses, llamas and other species are kept in cramped, temporary accommodation and forced to perform in unnatural ways.
Here, Circus Mondao’s ringmistress Petra Jackson says that her animals are happy and kept in good conditions.
