The judges of the East Midlands in Bloom competition have given their thoughts on Boston’s entry to the competition.
Lead judge Richard Stephen said their visit had been very good and said the organisers had done ‘exceptionally well’.
He said he was particularly impressed by the partnership working of all the agencies involved and the hard work of the volunteers in putting the entry together.
He said: “I think what we’ve seen is some lovely developments.”
“This years there’s been a lot more developments and a lot of new projects, which is exciting. I think they’ve worked hard to improve last year’s entry and they’ve succeeded.”
Chairman of the Boston in Bloom committee Niall Armstrong said they had managed to show the judges everything they wanted to show them.
“I would like to think we will at least get a silver certificate again, hopefully we’ll improve on that, but the judges don’t give anything away,” he said.
