VIDEO: Food, armour and torture at Knights of Skirbeck’s Robin Hood themed event

The Knights of Skirbeck are at the Boston Guildhall and in the Market Place today and tomorrow with a Robin Hood themed event.

The medieval re-enactment group will be putting on a farce based around the legendary character throughout the day and getting the children to help save the day from the evil Sherriff of Nottingham.

They are also displaying a number of historic items and will be sharing their wealth of knowledge with visitors.

Visitors will also be able to try on real armour, handle real weapons, have a go at some medieval games and crafts and, for the brave souls, the surgeons tools and torture implements - but which is which?

In the video above Sir Bryan, in character, shows reporter Daniel Jaines around some of the displays and gives viewers a bit of a history lesson on food, armour and torture devices.

The Knights will be around until until after last admission to the guildhall at 3pm today (Friday) and will return to the historic building from 10.30am tomorrow (Saturday).

Admission free.
