VIDEO: Knights battle it out at the museum

Shiny helmets and big swords were on show at the Guildhall when the Knights of Skirbeck took over.

The South Street venue was transported back to its medieval roots when the re-enactment group from Boston hosted two days of free activities and ‘mayhem’.

Visitors had the opportunity to try on armour and find out how well chainmail can protect them, handle various weapons and learn what the people who built the Guildhall wore.
There was also ‘mystery objects’ to identify, games and crafts to try, stocks to avoid and scary-looking surgeons tools.
