PEOPLE in the Boston area are being invited to join the ‘green gym’ and walk more as part of a New Year message from the Lincolnshire Ramblers.
The group has recently launched its 2011 walks program which features more than 650 events across the county.
Area secretary Stuart Parker said: “We continue to campaign for improvements in the rights of way network while promoting the enjoyment of Lincolnshire’s variety of landscapes which have so much to offer for the casual stroller or for the longer distance walker - a group also caters for those aged in their 20s and 30s.
“Our local Boston group offers a busy programme of walks mostly on Sundays and Wednesdays.
“Walking is increasingly seen as being an important contribution to improving our health and our county is such a lovely area which can easily be discovered using public footpaths.”
The walks available to people include short ambles, day walks, midweek walks and even summer evening strolls.
