Witness plea after Boston cyclist is seriously injured in collision near Asda

A Boston cyclist in his 50s was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision near Asda yesterday.

Roads were closed for more than four hours following the incident at the Carlton Road/Sleaford Road mini roundabout around 11.15am .

The 28-year-old driver of a grey Vauxhall Insignia who also involved in the collision was arrested for causing injury by careless driving and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident. Anyone who thinks they saw the collision or either the pedal cycle or the grey the grey Vauxhall Insignia before the collision is asked to call 101 quoting 149 of – Saturday 26th November
