Youngsters from 4th Boston (Kirton) Beavers have been awarded for completing ‘ambitious tasks’ at a special presentation evening.

All the Beavers were awarded badges earned over recent months in front of an audience of parents and carers.

Six new Beaver Scouts were invested into the colony and one had her last night before moving onto Cubs.

Assistant district commissioner for Beaver Scouts in Boston, Karen McGarry, proudly presented the 12 chief scout bronze awards to the ‘hard-working Beavers’.

Karen said: “To get the bronze award, Beavers have to earn six challenge badges. Gaining a challenge badge involves accomplishing a number of more ambitious tasks within the colony or community. There are several challenge badges across a number of themes, from the physical and outdoorsy to challenges dealing with the local community or issues connected with the Scouting world.”
