Young Farmers are looking to '˜grow' their group

A group for young farmers in the Boston area are appealing for new members.

One of the longest standing Young Farmers clubs in Lincolnshire and with more than 30 members, North Holland Young Farmers are welcoming everyone between the ages of 10 and 26-years-old.

Emily Pesgrave, chairman for the club said: “Young Farmers Club can give you the chance to improve your social links, confidence and skills, whilst having fun and making a fantastic network of friends, and memories for life.”

“We are an open minded, welcoming bunch of young people, who will be pleased to welcome you into our club.”

At their recent annual dinner dance, £1,000 was raised for charity but the club’s fundraising efforts do not stop there.

North Holland Young Farmers are regularly raising for charitable causes.

In the past year, the club have raised more than £5,000 for various charities at events including a charity race night, barbecue. promotional stands and charity football tournament.

A charity race night earlier this year saw a total of £1,500 raised, which was split between The John Fielding Community School, Lincolnshire and Nottingham Air Ambulance and Lincolnshire Young Farmers Club.

Money from fundraising efforts in the near future will be going to charities chosen by members.

North Holland Young Farmers meet on Mondays at 7.30pm in Leverton Leisure Centre.
