I AM baffled by people who loudly complain about parking fines and ‘greedy’ councils.
Any motorist who parks on a double yellow line, or in a no-parking area, is telling the local council’s ‘I am willing to make a donation of £60 to your treasury’.
Can anyone blame a council for accepting this donation?
If no one parked illegally there would be no fines.
Or is that too simple?
An AA spokesman, who heard my views, told me: ‘Thank you for speaking up for those of us who play by the rules’.
