Free School information out in the open

I AM very pleased to respond to the questions raised by Mr Richards in his letter “Need School Information To Be More Freely Available”.

As I am sure many people know (maybe including Mr Richards) from our frequent appearances in the local press The Phoenix Federation is the formal partnership between Park Primary School in Boston and Gosberton Primary School in the village of Gosberton.

Both are local authority primary schools whose governors have been successful in their application to open a Free School in Boston.

One of the motivations behind our application was to address the current shortage of primary school places in Boston which meant that Park School was constantly turning pupils away, some of whom then had to make long journey to schools distant from where they live. Our application was strongly supported by the local authority.

Our school, which is planned to open in September 2013, will be free, serve the local community and provide an inclusive, high quality, innovative education based on Department for Education national guidelines.

Our website (http://www.bostonparkcommuni is open to all, does not require registration and will continue to provide regular, updated information about the Boston Free School.
