The recent extreme weather conditions have left many people in Boston unable to donate items to British Heart Foundation (BHF) shops.

This is having a serious impact in Boston and stock levels are critically low. Last year the severe weather cost BHF shops more than £1 million because we experienced a devasting drop in donations.

Donations are the lifeblood of our shops – which raised £26 million last year.

BHF managers are already reporting an 80 per cent drop in donations in areas worst hit by the snow.

I’m urging Boston people to call 01205366056 for a free collection if they’re struggling or to hold onto their goods and donate them to the BHF Boston when it’s safe.

If you’re clearing out your home and you’re struggling to remove larger items King’s Lynn Furniture & Electrical Store offers a free collection which can be booked online at bhf.org.uk/collection.

Call 0844 412 5000 or visit bhf.org.uk/shops for more.
