I felt I had to write to say how much my grand-daughter and I enjoyed last week’s production by BOS Musical Group of Anything Goes.

It was just splendid.

My grand-daughter, who is nine, was entranced by the whole thing - she hadn’t been to a live musical show like this before - and had to take our programme away with her to Yorkshire to show her teacher and class at school. I think she plans to use a whole lesson re-enacting it!

I loved it all - the chorus numbers were full of life and verve, and the principals were superb. I was so impressed with the solo voices, which all sounded very professional, and the costumes were inspired. It was lovely, too, to see so many young people in the show, and some of the ensemble pieces, especially the tap dancing, were breathtaking.

To everyone, especially the director, whose name I can’t remember because Lulu took my programme up north, I’d like to say it was definitely ‘de-lovely’. Oh, yes.... and thank you, too, Cole Porter.
