LETTER: I’ll watch this space over PRSA

I have been reading with interest the latest concerning the financing of PRSA.

I think someone has done a fine job in stitching up the council!

Furthermore, Boston has hundreds of voluntary organisations, village hall and sports clubs who work tirelessly for the community they serve. They used all to receive the discretionary rate relief from the council.

Last year this was reduced by 25 per cent thereby causing tremendous financial pressure on the organisations which were unable to gain reduction by other means such as registering as a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) or qualifying for small business rate relief.

We are told that, owing to money which will be raised by the new energy saving systems, no further payments will be needed – watch this space!
