May I add my comments to Insp. Rimmer’s comments on the Market Place. It is unsafe from start to finish. Boston Borough Council (BBC) states it has to “have to have settling-in period”, how many years do we need?

We have had 6 months now. BBC runs the parking for the Market Place. It is they that charge for parking not Lincolnshire County Council. Also they set the parking fines. But LCC got us in the mess like the buses through the precinct and those at the top at BBC let it happen every time.

The problems go back to the planning stage when the project leader would not listen to the concern of the public at the road shows.

We put in nearly £1/2 a million and had no say.

How is it the officers can tell the members what to do?

Maybe a response from a councillor is in order.

The full area is a free for all with no rules.

I have taken the safety issues to the full complaints procedure at LCC with all saying it is safe.

I have three letters from the Safety Partnership group who state it OK for pedestrians to enter zebra crossing without been seen by motorist until they pass the taxi rank.

Boston has poor councillors who will not rock the boat.
