Sir, While I agree with virtually everything your Observer piece said regarding the PRSA I would pick you up on one point.

Every year British Rowing hold several of their national squad selection trials at Boston which includes multiple Olympic medallists.

Whilst the main reason for coming to the town is the excellent rowing facilities the towns rowing club offers, on one occasion each year they do use the PRSA for a land based assessment on indoor rowing machines.

So far this year Boston Rowing Club has attracted more than 5,000 vistitors to the town.

As you suggest they would very much welcome a small fraction of the funds regularly pumped into the PRSA by the Borough Council. Regards,
