Letter: Stop dangerous parking at hospital before someone is killed

EVERY day cars are parked on the main A16 road outside the Pilgrim Hospital.

It has got so bad you almost have to stop to let the oncoming cars pass each other.

It has been like this for months upon months, it is causing a hazard and it is only a matter of time before a serious accident happens.

It is unacceptable to see police cars visiting at the hospital and then driving off without taking any notice, (I did see a community police officer putting tickets on the windscreens once a couple of months ago).

I thought it was against the law to cause an obstruction on a major road but everyone seems to be accepting it.

If this is going to continue unchallenged then I think it is about time the council painted double yellow lines the length of the hospital on the road to ensure safety.

I hope the council is reading this and get down there and spend money painting some lines before someone is injured or even killed.
