I’d like to thank everyone who helped with the successful launch of our new Dementia Café at the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre recently.
There are nearly 1,000 people with dementia in and around Boston and we hope that the Dementia Café will provide people with dementia and carers a platform to talk openly about living with dementia within a relaxed and informal environment.
I’d like to give a particular thanks to the volunteers who are helping out at the café - without their dedication and enthusiasm this vital support just wouldn’t be possible. I’d also like to thank the Mayor Coun Alison Austin and Mayor’s Consort Coun Richard Austin for attending.
If any of your readers missed the launch, then the Boston Dementia Café will meet at the Len Medlock Voluntary Centre on the first and third Wednesday of the month from 10am–noon. For more information, call our office on 01522 692681.
