LETTER: Who will say sorry about the Market Place toilets?

I write with regard to saying ‘sorry’ in the recent editor’s comment.

No one in public life is saying ‘sorry’ for the deterioration in the Market Place owing to the lack of public toilet facilities. This is now causing inconvenience and discomfort to loyal taxpayers, stallholders and (most important) tourists and especially OAPs.

Money proceeds were received from the sale of the Assembly Rooms, surely some of this could be earmarked to provide funding for toilet facilities?
