Public sector old age is no more important than ours

YET again members in the public sector could be going on strike, namely the teachers.

We assume these are educated people, why should they feel that they are more deserving than people who work in the private sector, and their comfort in old age is more important than anyone else?

We are all living on borrowed money, why should more be borrowed to support one sector of the community?

This strike causes pain and hardship to so many struggling families.

During the war brave young men, most of whom during their short lives earned very little money, and certainly while serving in the final battles, just received beer money.

What a selfish nation we have become, wanting more, and more, and giving less, and less.
