Support Circle calls for your views

NOW we have entered the new year and the Forces Family & Friends Support Circle is gathering momentum, we would like to ask the local Forces community for their feedback on living in the area.

It is the Royal British Legion’s aim this year to have contact with the next generations of beneficiaries and with it backing the Circle, we would like you to give us your views and ideas of what it’s like living in Boston and its surrounding area, whether you are still a serving member or perhaps you have left the services in the last few years.

Maybe you are a service family and you are finding some issues about living in the area frustrating, we would like to know how we can make things better.

Lincolnshire is the largest area in the country requesting welfare support from the RBL and we would like to be more pro-active in the community on your behalf, so having your feedback would enable us to put some action plans into place to strengthen this area’s bond with the Armed Forces.

We would also like to know what you would like to see in the town to celebrate Armed Force Day, which will be on Saturday, June 30.

We know that this area has a lot of personnel, from all areas of the Tri-Services, along with the all-important Reservists and we would like to say ‘thank you’ for the contribution you make to this country and how proud we are of you and your families. So come on get in touch and let FFFSC start making a difference to your lives.

The next meeting will also offer the usual opportunity to ask for advice and direction on any issues that maybe affecting your lives. All our members are happy to exchange experiences and advice on what they have endured living in this area and also doing their duty. Along with our caseworkers who can help with more specialised subjects. We are here to make a difference no matter how big or small your problem seems, we can support you and the hand of friendship is always on offer, just contact us by one of the means below.

If you would like to come and see how the Support Circle can help you or just get involved with likeminded people, join us at our next meeting on Saturday, February 25, from 10am–noon at Ground Court, Broadfield Lane, Boston, or for further information contact myself Alison Lynch at alison.lynch@tesco.net or call 07800 532507.
