Town visit made a big impression

ON MAY 5 a friend of mine and myself attended the concert by The Fortunes and The Ivy League at the Blackfriars Theatre.

It must be said that of all the venues we attend throughout Europe, we have never been welcomed to the venue with such warmth and friendliness.

We were welcomed by the lovely Margaret who even made us a cup of tea and didn’t even charge us for it!

Then we met Linda, Mike and Francis (how do I know all the names? Because we were all like old friends who hadn’t seen each other for years!).

We then went on to visit Tate’s chippy in town and once again the staff in there were so friendly and professional and we had the loveliest fish and chips served with a lovely smile and our visit was well worth it!

Also, the local people were of such a friendly bunch we were left with such a great impression of the town of Boston.

If this is typical of your residents, then I must consider selling up here in Doncaster and moving down to your lovely town.

Would you please thank everyone concerned and as some of the staff at the theatre are ‘volunteers’, I am seriously considering contributing a considerable amount of monies to help the theatre along the way, this is my way of saying thank you to a great town with great people.

Please keep up the good work and we are so looking forward to visiting Boston again in the near future.
