JANE Elizabeth Eustace, of Boothby Close, Kirton, has died in Pilgrim Hospital following a short illness.
She was 101.
Born in Fulham, London, she had lived in Kirton for two years.

A widow, Mrs Eustace leaves daughter Phyllis Bradd, sister Wyn Jordan, grandsons Stephen and Martyn Bradd and Mark Eustace, and granddaughter Sarah Carreck.

During the Second World War, Mrs Eustace wired harnesses for Lancaster bombers and also worked in munitions. Later, she worked in printing and held various clerical jobs, before taking full-time retirement in the mid-1970s.

Mrs Eustace's interests included knitting, gardening and reading. She had also been involved with the Women's Institute, the Women's Royal Voluntary Service and the Civil Defence.

The funeral at Kirton Parish Church, conducted by the Rev Ken Still, was followed by interment.
