RUTH Beatrice Bolsover, of Manor Gate Care Home, Wyberton, has died in Pilgrim Hospital following illness. She was 85.
Born in Sheffield, she had lived in the area for 15 years.
A widow, she is survived by daughter Ingrid Fleetcroft and grandchildren Rebecca and Nick Blanch, Rosie Fleetcroft, Matthew and Louise Fleetcroft.

Mrs Bolsover was employed as personal assistant to the managing director of T.W. Wards, a Sheffield stainless steel works. She also worked for Devon County Council teaching dressmaking and tailoring.

Mrs Bolsover attended watercolour painting classes with Helen Webber, and Spanish classes with Cherry Alvarez. She had gained credits in art and Spanish with Nottingham University's extra-mural department, and was well on the way to a degree.

A service of thanksgiving took place at Holy Trinity Church, Boston, conducted by the Rev Simon Dowson and the Rev Penny Green. It was followed by burial.
Donations were made to the Boston Alzheimer's Society and Boston Social Club for the Blind.

Chief family mourners were: Ingrid Fleetcroft (daughter), Martin Fleetcroft (son-in-law), Rebecca Blanch (granddaughter), Nick Blanch (grandson-in-law), Faith Blanch (great-granddaughter), Nathan Blanch (great-grandson), Rosie Fleetcroft (granddaughter), Matthew Fleetcroft (grandson), Louise Fleetcroft (granddaughter-in-law).
