Mr John Richard Thornley

JOHN Richard Thornley has died at his Princess Anne Road home after suffering an illness. He was 76.
Mr Thornley spent his whole life in the area and leaves his wife Valerie, daughter Anne Charters and grandchildren Lisa, Hayley, and Stephanie.

He worked as a forklift driver for 28 years and retired in 1991 due to major heart surgery.

He was a
member of Boston Bowling Club and a supporter of Boston United and Liverpool.

The funeral took place at St Botolph’s, followed by a cremation.

It was officiated by Rev Andrew Wickens.

Chief family mourners were: Valerie Thornley (wife), Anne and Steven Charters (daughter and son-in-law), Lisa, Hayley and Stephanie Charters (grandchildren), Gill Thornley (sister-in-law), Jamie, Teresa and Alison Thornley, Tony and Brenda Waterman (nephews and nieces), Mavis Thompson, Pam Whyers (cousins), Bob and Edna Medlock, Ron and Jean Medlock, Alan Medlock, Berny and Pat Medlock (brothers and sisters-in-law), Margaret Sampson, Audrey Martin, Linda and David Jenkins (sisters and brother-in-law), David, Thea, Lynne, Julie, Rhona, Dave, Katie, Robert, Christine, Jack, Fiona, Terry, Jo, Wendy, John, Julie, Philip (nephews and nieces-in-law).

Arrangements by F.E. Addlesee and Son.
