Thursday, 9.25am - BOSTON Hockey Club members will be glued to their TV sets next month – cheering on Christa Cullen as she seeks Olympic glory.
The Boston-born international scored twice in the 3-2 victory over Spain which saw Great Britain qualify for Beijing 2008.

And Christa – who has a Commonwealth bronze medal in her trophy cabinet – still has strong connections with the town.

Not only do a lot of her family still play for the Boston club, she has also helped out with coaching sessions down at Rosebery Avenue.

The 22-year-old full back, pictured in action for her club Leicester, is one of two Olympians from our area.

The other will be Wrangle swimmer Melanie Marshall.
