TUESDAY, 4pm - ARCHERS from our area have been on target this weekend.
Twelve-year-old year Boston High School girl Ellen Talbot shot at the Junior National Outdoor Archery Championships at the National Sports Centre, Lilleshall over the weekend... and helped her team to the title.

Meanwhile, Joe and Janet Lloyd were in the medals at a UK and Ireland event.

East Midlands Regional Squad member Ellen, from Leverton, and her fellow juniors took third place in a close fought competition between eight regions.

In the individual events Ellen came eighth in the FITA Metric round on Saturday and sixth in the Bristol IV round on Sunday.

This is the first time Ellen has shot at national level and she was the only junior from Lincolnshire amongst the 232 competitors.

Ellen is a member of Friskney Bowmen and the Lincolnshire County Archery squad.

Three seniors from Friskney Bowmen were shooting at the UK and Ireland Field Championships at High Wycombe.

Boston archers Joe and Janet Lloyd won the gents and ladies longbow class.

Joe and Janet's son Richard came fifth in the gents longbow.

Janet is one of the leading ladies longbow archers in the country.

Joe has represented England and Great Britain and currently holds one of the main national field records.

Fellow Friskney Bowmen longbow archer Alan Blythyn, from Skegness, came second in the same event.
