Thursday, 9.20am - PROVEN United Counties League goalscorer Miles Mason has become Boston Town's first summer recruit.
The 25-year-old striker has returned to UCL action after spending a year back-packing around the globe.

Now Poachers boss Bob Don-Duncan hopes the former Blackstones and Bourne forward will pick up where he left off in the 2006/07 season, when he netted more than 30 times for a struggling Wakes outfit.

"He's a mercurial player," said Don-Duncan.

"He's a winner. Without being cruel to Bourne, he scored a lot of goals in a poor Bourne side.

"When I knew he was back in the country and available I was keen to sign him."

The Poachers look likely to retain most of last season's squad, although defenders Neal Spafford and Liam Parker have moved to Gainsborough Trinity and Boston United respectively.

Midfielder Mbiyeye Medine looks likely to find a new club after moving to study in Northampton.

Town begin their pre-season warm-up when Lincoln City visit Tattershall Road on Monday (KO 7.30pm) and Godmanchester arrive on Wednesday (7.30pm).
