Steadman’s close victory in pier angling competition

WHITING shoals resulted in excellent catches for competitors in the first two Skegness Pier Angling Club (SPAC) matches of 2012.

Match one on Trunch Lane saw Friskney’s Mark Holmes tip the scales at 14lb 4oz for second place. Wrangle’s Alan Steadman settled for third (14lb 0oz).

Alan also shared the heaviest round fish prize (1lb 4oz).

At Chapel Point, Steadman came out on top with 9lb 14oz.
