Are Corby targetting Boston United's SWD?

Wednesday, 6pm - ARE Corby Town planning a move for Boston United striker Spencer Weir-Daley?

Speculation was heightened last night as Graham Drury - manager of the Blue Sqaure North outfit - watched Boston beat Grantham in the Lincs Senior Shield.

On arrival at the Meeres Stadium, Drury headed straight to the press box to enquire wether Weir-Daley - who has bagged 14 goals in 23 appearances this season - was in the starting line-up, showing disappointment that he wasn't.

Pilgrims boss Rob Scott said: "He can't have him as we've got him under contract."

SWD becomes a free agent in the summer and Corby could make a swoop for the ex-Nottingham Forest and Notts County forward then.

Corby currently have ex-Pilgrims Dean West and Jason Lee on their books.
