If you are looking to get out and get active then Boston and District Athletic Club could be just right for you!
The club was recently saved from possible closure by Rolec Services of Frampton, following an injection of funding by the firm.
The club, which has been running for the past 14 years and has helped hundreds of local people keep active, is now looking for further support.
It runs sessions on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7-9pm for everyone over 11 years old - and on Friday nights from 5-7pm for 5-11 year olds.
All sessions take place at the B-Hive in Punchbowl Lane, Boston.
A number of its current athletes are experiencing great success.
Oliver Simmonds, 12, joined the athletic club in April to get some help with his high jump skills.
As a result of following advice from his coach at the club, and working extremely hard in training – he is now Preparatory Schools National Champion in the event – gaining the title with a jump of 1.56m.
This took Oliver to the top of the East Midlands ranking in his age group – as well as to fourth place nationally.
Another club member, 19-year-old Alice Flint, joined in 2003 and has trained weekly since then.
Alice has competed on a regular basis in all the different track and field disciplines, including cross-country and sports hall athletics.
A true all-round athlete, she recently competed for Cambridge University in the prestigious Varsity match against Oxford University.
Alice is currently ranked third in the East Midlands in her age group in the 400H and fifth in the Steeplechase.
