Boston Cricket Club’s Second XI lost by 79 runs to Baston on Saturday.

John Howard hit 66 to help his side post 201-6, with wickets falling to Boston’s Shaun Moore (3-33), Charlie Ward (1-38), Sam Major (1-45) and Sam Gilding (1-69).

In response, Boston were dismissed for 122 in this South Lincs and Border League Division One contest.

Peter Mitchell top scored with 20, with other notable scores coming from Callum McNulty (18), Sam Major (18), Rowan Evans (14), Gareth Epton (14) and Paul Tetther (14).

In the South Lincs and Border League Division Two, Boston Thirds lost by 63 runs to Grantham Seconds.

Grantham scored 179-8 in their 45 overs, wickets taken by Kev Brooks (3-58), Steve Appleyard (2-24), Oliver Thurlby (1-10), Jack Mival (1-41) and Tom Appleyard (1-39).

Boston recorded 116-9 with Kartik Kippy (25) and Patrick Hallam (24) top scoring.

Boston’s Sunday Firsts lost by nine wickets against Hartsholme in the Lincoln Premier Division.

After posting 94, the visitors responded with 95-1.
