BOSTON Cricket Club have booked their place in the semi-finals of the Winkworth Cup.
Hosting the group stages of the Twenty20 event at the Mayflower, Boston earned victories over Market Deeping and Nettleham to top the group.
Against Deeping, Boston earned a 50-run victory. Batting first they scored 157-9, with Jonathan Cheer smashing 52 runs off just 28 balls before Boston’s bowlers made short work of their opponents, dismissing them for a total of 107.
Against Nettleham, Boston earned a nine-wicket victory. Responding to Nettleham’s 84-9, Boston were in commanding form and reached 90-1 after just 11 overs.
They will now compete in finals day on May 30. Market Deeping beat Nettleham to take second place.
