Boston Cricket Club Firsts hope their away form can help them win the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division title.

The Mayflower men are four points clear at the top of the table at the season’s halfway stage.

But seven of their remaining 11 fixtures will be away from home, beginning with Saturday’s trip to mid-table Woodhall Spa Seconds.

“We beat Woodhall on the first weekend but I think they have some very good cricketers in their side,” said Firxt XI captain Tom Baxter.

“Their captain, Rob Bee, can be one of the most destructive batsman in the league on his day.

“They have a number of people that have had experience of Premier League cricket and I expect a tough battle.”
