Boston CC face a tough series of Lincs ECB Premier fixtures in the upcoming weeks.
Saturday’s five-wicket defeat to Louth saw Tom Baxter’s side drop to seventh in the standings.
The Mayflower men are now looking to bounce back, but they will have to do so against three of the division’s top five sides over the space of the next four weeks.
This Saturday Boston will host Grantham, who will be hoping to pick up a victory to ensure they are still in the championship challenge come the end of the day.
With Jonny Cheer, Scott Elleray, Tim Bell, and Saihan Azim likely to be available after missing last weekend’s action, Baxter hopes he will have a full squad to select from again.
Grantham have won six of their 11 games to date.
“They are a very young side with a lot of high quality cricketers,” Baxter said.
“It will be a tough game.”
Saturday is the start of the second half of the season and Boston will be hoping for a similar second half, and aiming for a mid-table finish.
“If we work as hard as we have done so far, then I am sure we will not be dragged back towards the bottom,” the skipper added.
“However, looking below us, we only just beat Nettleham, Grimsby and Skegness and lost to Louth and Bourne.
“There are no sides in this league that are guaranteed victories.
“If we do not perform then we will soon be dragged back down to the bottom.”
