After the weekend’s dramatic late victory, Boston Cricket Club are now going in search of their second victory of the Lincs ECB Premier season.

However, to do so they will have to beat leaders Market Deeping.

Deeping went top after beating Grantham on Saturday, and captain Tom Baxter isn’t taking anything for granted.

“Market Deeping are a good team,” he said.

“If you look at their results every week, it is always someone different holding their hand up and performing.

“This league has had some funny results so far this season, and the reason they are top is because they have a lot of players that can perform to a top level.”

Boston will be without bowler Scott Elleray again as he remains away on holiday.

“It could be an unchanged side from this Saturday,”Baxter added.

“There are always improvements to be made, even after winning games of cricket.

“We will have a chat and look to build on Saturday’s 20 points.”

This weekend’s fixtures: Saturday - Market Deeping v Boston, Boston 2nd XI v Market Deeping 2nd XI, Boston 3rd XI v Grantham 4th XI; Sunday - Boston Sunday 1sts v Sleaford, Caythorpe v Boston Sunday 2nds.
