Boston Cricket Club to begin plotting Lincs ECB return

Boston Cricket Club will take their first steps in attempting to regain their county top-flight status next week.

The Mayflower men were relegated from the Lincs ECB Premier Division this year, after finishing bottom.

After being replaced by Spalding, they will begin 2013 in the South Lincs and Border League Division One.

However, they have hopes of a more successful season and making an instant return to the top division.

Plans for this will start to be formed next Thursday (November 15) evening as they club holds its AGM at the Sportsman, Rosebery Avenue.

There, roles within the club for next season will be organised.

The annual meeting will then be followed by the club’s dinner and presentation night a day later.

This will be held at Boston West Golf Club (7.30pm).

There, awards will be handed out to the top performers from the three Saturday teams, as well as the two Sunday sides who play out of the club.

Tickets for the event cost £20 per head.
