Dennis Greene has admitted that Boston United would not stand in the way of Ricky Miller moving up the footballing ladder... if the right offer was to come in.

The in-form striker scored his second hat-trick in three matches to help Boston United beat Solihull Moors 4-1 on Saturday.

Speaking after the full-time whistle, Greene broached the subject of offers coming in for the under-contract striker.

“If they do, they do,” he said.

“We can’t do anything about that.

“We’re here to develop you and we’re here to move you on in a sense.

“I’ll never stand in the way of any player.

“If a club comes in for Ricky Miller, providing it’s right for both parties, then we’ll let him go.”

Miller has netted 17 times for Boston in 29 appearances this campaign, scoring nine of those goals in the past four matches since his return from in jury.

Greene has previously stated that he believes Miller has all the attributes to play in the Football League.
