Burgess and Ngamvoulou to make Pilgrims debuts against Celtic

New signings Joe Burgess and Stephane Ngamvoulou will go straight into Boston United's starting XI to face Stalybridge Celtic this afternoon.

Burgess, who joined from Ilkeston, will begin at full back in the absence of the ill Dylan McEvoy while Frenchman Ngamvoulou, formerly of Whitehawk, lines up in a three-man midfield alongside Grant Roberts and Josh Venney.

Dayle Southwell and Zak Mills are not fit enough to return to the squad for today’s contest.

There is some positive news for the Pilgrims, however, as long-term injury victim Richard Jones took to the field for a pre-match warm-up.

Jay Rollins has returned from his hamstring injury and takes his place on the bench.

Boston are looking to bounce back from their previous match, a 1-0 defeat to Gloucester.

Victory could see United move up to second in the National League North, if other results go their way.

Kick off will be at 3pm.
