A petition has been launched by fans of Boston United for people in the town to show their support for the Quadrant Development.
Boston United Supporters Association has launched the iPetition for members of the public to ‘throw their backing’ behind the plans which include a new stadium for the team and its community activities.
BUSA chairman Glen Chapman said: “It is important that planning permission for The Quadrant is passed and we need to generate as much support as possible from fans of Boston United.
“It really is a simple situation — if planning is not passed, it could well be the end for Boston United.
“I do not think anybody with the club at heart wants that to happen, so I would urge everybody to write a letter of support and sign a petition backing the development.”
Paper copies of the petition can also be signed at The Jakemans Stadium or at the The Pilgrim Lounge, on York Street.
Copies can also be taken away, signed and returned to the club offices marked for the attention of Craig Singleton.
The petition comes following a referendum in Wyberton in which 86.25 per cent of voters said no to the development.
The parish poll saw 18.76 per cent of the electorate in Wyberton turnout to vote – a figure of 560 out of 2,984.
