Prison officers banged to rights

BOSTON United earned a goalless draw in a bbehind-closed-doors contest against the British Prison Officers XI.

Michael Wood returned from injury and partnered Simon Ashton in the heart of defence at the Jakemans Stadium.

The Pilgrims played host to the national representative side containing prison officers from across the country.

Boston boss Steve Welsh said: "It was a tight game and having a 0-0 draw in a match like this is quite rare.

"However, both sides gave it their all and a draw was probably a fair result on the balance of play."
