Boston Amateur Boxing Club ready for new season

Friday, 12.10pm - BOXING returns to Boston next week when the amateur club re-opens for the new season.

Boston Amateur Boxing Club will open the doors of their Field Street gymnasium on Monday (Aug 9) with five-nightly training and keep fit sessions.

Registered boxers, beginners and keep-fit enthusiasts are welcome but Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings are solely for competitive boxers from 6.30pm until 8pm.

Tuesday and Friday evenings are open to beginners and keep-fit enthusiasts, with two sessions each evening.

Youngsters aged 10-15 years will train from 6pm until 7pm, while over 15s will meet from 7pm and 8pm.

Ladies only nights are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5.30pm until 6.45pm. Ladies are asked to wear shorts, a loose top or track suit plus light footwear.

For those wishing to take up the sport, qualified coaches are in attendance and strict supervision ensures the safety of all.
