Two Boston kickboxers have scooped gold medals in a national competition.

Nesta Baxter and Ambie Brocklesby both fought their way to first place in their categories in the WAKO British Championships.

Competing in Birmingham, 13-year-old Nesta retained the girls’ 16 years 50kg continuous title she won last year, punching above her weight against older and more experienced opponents.

Meanwhile, Ambie, 11, was giving away up to five years in the boys’ 16 years under 28kg continuous category, but that didn’t stop him winning gold.

Not content with just one medal, Ambie then went on to win silver in the boys’ 16 years under 28kg points section.

Fellow members of Boston’s Evolution Martial Arts club competed at the national championships.

Mark Baldry won silver in the men’s 90kg and under veterans’ competition, while Zac Baldry was runner-up in the boys’ 16years under 32kg points fight.

Two further club members were in action at the Peterborough Series.

Seven-year-old Harley Butterfield age won gold in the boys’ under 4ft open grade points category.

Meanwhile, Vicki Bradford won silver in the ladies’ points category.
