Can Boston CC claim a magnificent seven?

Boston Cricket Club are looking to make it seven straight wins in the South Lincs and Border League Premier Division - but they will travel to fourth-placed Billingborough without Scott Elleray.

Elleray, who claimed figures of 6-19 as Boston beat Woodhall Spa Seconds in style at the weekend, is unavailable for the contest.

However, captain Tom Baxter has a plan which he thinks will see the Mayflower men do the business without their leading wicket taker.

“Of course he will take some replacing,” the skipper said. “He’s coming off the back of a six-wicket haul.

“However, our focus has been all about building a good team that can cope without players.

“We will welcome back Andrew Hewitt and Ben (Vella) will take the new ball.”

Boston will also have Ricky Drury available but question marks remain over batsman Kieran Evans.
