BOSTON Mayflower Housing Association has given £500 to Boston and District Athletic Club (BADAC).

The money will be used to help repaint the floor and add marked lines at the club’s B-Hive base in Punchbowl Lane.

The cash was awarded to BADAC after Mayflower’s area panel members decided to fund its bid.

Mayflower Community Development Officer, Paul Kenny, said: “Hopefully the money will help build up the skills of young athletes, and produce some stars for the future.”

Peter Arnott, BADAC’s Development Officer, said: “The money will be used to carry out essential work at the B-Hive. Without it we would not have the quality of athletes we have at this club. The work will go a long way to helping future athletes.”

Boston Mayflower’s Community Champions award scheme rewards groups and organisations in the Boston area which perform outstanding work for the local community.
