Chelsea and Melanie hit heights in heptathalon
Tuesday - TWO Gold Tops filled the first two positions in the Senior Girls Heptathlon with Chelsea Brockett taking the County Championship title ahead of Melanie Bristow.
On her way to a total of 3165 points, Chelsea achieved in excess of 500 in each of three events.
Best disciplines for Chelsea were the high jump (1.52m) worth 644 points; 200m (28.3 secs) for 589; and 800m (2mins 33.8 secs) to add 646 points.
Melanie Bristow accumulated 2250 points with a javelin throw of 25.96m contributing 400 points and a 200m time of 30.9 secs for a further 405 points.
Two Boston and District AC representatives finished in the top four positions in the demanding Senior Boys Decathlon Championship.
Stephan Brockett scored 4994 points at the end of the 10 disciplines to secure second place in the championship.
Team mate Jake Brittain achieved a points total of 4680 for fourth place.
Lincolnshire Schools teams for the English Schools AA Combined Events Regional Championships at Chelmsford on Saturday and Sunday, June 26 and 27 will now be selected in the junior, intermediate and senior boys and girls age groups.
In the Under 17 Girls heptathlon, Wednesday Pywowariw scored a total of 2697 points to secure third place overall.
Alice Flint claimed fourth place in the county championship with 2663 points.
In the Under 17 Boys octathlon, Aidan McClure set a series of personal bests on his way to second place at the end of the two day programme of track and field events with a total of 2876.
