TWO Boston-area sports leaders have been presented with an award in recognition of being ‘brilliant’ coaches.

Terry Ducker, coach for North End Archers, and Cilla Westley, a tai chi and feng shui instructor, were awarded the My Coach is Brilliant Award certificate at the Lincolnshire Coaches’ Network Evening.

Terry was nominated for all the excellent information, advice and guidance he provides during his archery coaching and training sessions.

Cilla, who delivers tai chi and feng shui classes to people from all walks of life and from a variety of ages, was nominated because all her students appreciate the friendly atmosphere the classes have.

Lincolnshire Sports Partnership received nine nominations for the My Coach is Brilliant Award, which lets members of clubs show their appreciation of their coach.

Lizzie Couling, coach development manager at the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said: “We had a great response for the nomination process and we’re delighted that so many people out there value their coach or instructor.”

Nominations will be sought for Lincolnshire Coaches Week 2013 over the next 12 months.
