Boston CC set for Lashings star turn

Boston Cricket Club are preparing to pit their wits against some of the game's best-loved players.

The Lashings All-Stars will visit the Mayflower next Friday, to go head to head with Tom Baxter’s XI.

Guest commentator Henry Blofeld will offer his assessment of the contest, which features the likes of Monty Panesar, Andrew Gale, Gordon Greenidge and John Embury.

The identity of a special guest star is being kept under wraps, but Kirk Edwards, Wasim Jaffer, Sherwin Campbell, Alfonso Thomas, Martin Bicknell and Charl Willoughby are expected to turn out for captain Chris Schofield.

Baxter’s Mayflower men will include Jonny Cheer, Ryan Croom, Dave Newman, Liam Sparke, Riley Orr, Scott Elleray, Saihan Azim, Tim Bell, Kieran Evans, Tom Poole and Ben Troops.
