Market Deeping went clear at the top of the South Lincolnshire & Border League Premier Division after picking up 19 points against Woodhall Spa 2nd in a weekend that saw four centuries scored.

Deeping, newly promoted from Division One, made 205 for seven thanks to 70 from Ryan Bainborough and 50 from Ross Harris and - despite Tom Dixon’s innings of 96 - Woodhall fell just short with 193 for eight.

Simon Godby hit 109 for Sleaford 2nd in a high scoring game against Bourne 2nd.

Sleaford notched up 275 for seven before bowling Bourne out for 237.

Martin Parmley claimed the day’s top score with an unbeaten 140 in Grantham 2nd’s total of 207 for five.

Opponents Stamford Town were then bowled out for 85.

And Warren Nel was unbeaten on 100 with Josh Newton making 98 for Spalding 2nd, whose 246 for one proved too much for Belton Park who were all out for 126.

But at Billingborough it was a bowlers’ day as Long Sutton were dismissed for 93, five of the wickets falling to Matt Cox.

Jake Burton then took five for Long Sutton as Billingborough were all out for 73.

In Division One, Jack Barnett was unbeaten on 120 as Moulton Harrox chased down Heckington’s 204 for five to win by eight wickets.

Baston stay top despite going down to Grantham 3rd by 59 runs while Freiston LL moved into second with a 10 wicket win over Billingborough 2nd, Oliver Booth claiming five wickets.

Boston 3rd scored a comprehensive victory over Grantham 4th in Division Two while Graves Park scored their first victory of the season, beating Spalding 3rd by seven wickets and are now one point behind leaders Claypole, who won a low scoring game against Burgh & District, Glynn Willis taking six wickets for Claypole.
