Curzon Ashton 0 Boston United 2

Monday, 8.30am - BOSTON United reached the final of the UniBond Challenge Cup, thanks to goals from Danny Sleath and Spencer Weir-Daley.

The second-half strikes were enough to sink plucky UniBond North promotion hopefuls Curzon Ashton, who dominated the first 45 minutes, but were unable to breach the superb Tom Evans in the United goal.

And the Pilgrims will now face bitter foes Retford in the final, after the Badgers beat Kendal Town 1-0 on Saturday.

Sleath opened the scoring on 50 minutes after Ryan Semple's ball in to the box was neatly teed up by Danny Davidson, Sleath firing low past Javier Sanchez.

Curzon's second-choice keeper had no chance of stopping Weir-Daley's header, from a neat Jamie Yates cross, as the game was put beyond doubt.
